Mountainbiking
Mountain biking is a tradition in Willingen as many solitary trails and miles and miles of gravel roads provide lots of fun during bike riding. There are 6marked mountain bike tours with different degrees of difficulty, but there are also guided tours, and in Willingen, there is a mountain bike test course with double jumps, speed doubles, steep curves, jump combinations, tables and triples. If you’d rather find fun in going downhill, you’ve come to the right place. The cable car takes the downhill biker all the way to the top of Mount Ettelsberg (838 m). Off-road enthusiasts will further enjoy the annual “Mountain Bike Festival” in Willingen which has become the largest gathering of its kind in all of Europe. A new freeride track provided by the community of Willingen is unique in its form in Germany.
