Ederradweg
For the most part, the Ederradweg runs on 186 km of quiet bike or rural roads along the Eder River, from its spring near Lützel (near Siegen) all the way to its mouth near Guxhagen. Here, the Ederradweg merges with the Fulda Bike Trail R1 where you will encounter, without any inclines worth mentioning, unspoiled and deeply forested mid-range mountain scenery and pleasant, varied valleys.
On a length of 120 km, the route leads you through Waldecker Land with its towns of Hatzfeld, Battenberg, Allendorf, Frankenberg, and Bad Wildungen, as well as the vacation region of Lake Edersee. The Ederradweg is a truly attractive and varied route.
The attractive and varied Ederradweg has been part of the network of Hessian long-distance bike trails since autumn 2007.

Diemelradweg
The Diemelradweg accompanies the romantic small river for a length of approx. 110 km. The trail marked by ammonites runs from the spring at 660 m height near Willingen through the romantic Lake Diemel Nature Preserve all the way to the merger with the Weser River near Bad Karlshafen. This well built and easily accessible bike trail leads from the heights of the Waldecker Upland through the Lake Diemel Nature Preserve, through gently rolling hills of the mid-range mountains, all the way to Reinhardswald Forest. This varied natural scenery, the friendly half-timbered villages, and the beautiful smaller towns deserve a little bit of your time, as there is plenty to discover!
