The exciting area of Lake Edersee
The area of Lake Edersee includes the Waldecker Land areas with the communities of Edertal and Vöhl as well as the towns of Bad Wildungen, Frankenau and Lichtenfels. In the Kurhessisches Bergland this includes the towns of Bad Zwesten and Fritzlar as well as the town of Borken and the community of Jesberg.
Waldeck at Lake Edersee
The former mountain town of Waldeck owes its existence to a knight who, once upon a time, built his castle high on top of the wooded hill overlooking the Eder valley.
Vacation area Lake Twiste
The Lake Twiste vacation area, with its mid-sized centre at Bad Arolsen, the towns of Diemelstadt and Volkmarsen and the community of Twistetal, is located in the northern part of Waldecker Land and its attractive center in Bad Arolsen highlights delightful offers for the entire region.
Willingen (Upland)
The main community of Willingen represents a wintersport region of international ranking, a medicinal spa and state-certified Kneippen spa, while Usseln and Schwalefeld are both spa resorts with medicinal climates.

Korbach

Haina
Along the south western slopes of Kellerwald Forest, you will find the greater community of Haina (Abbey), located in an excellent climate at the centre of Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. Ederbergland
The vacation region of Ederbergland consists of five towns and communities: Allendorf, Battenberg, Bromskirchen, Frankenberg, and Hatzfeld, located in beautiful and unspoiled mid-range mountain scenery at the edge of the Rothaar Mountains.
Burgwald Region

Kellerwald-Edersee National Park - UNESCO World Heritage
In the northern part of the Kellerwald Nature Preserve, right on the edge of Lake Edersee, a natural heritage of international stature with more than 5,000 hectares has been preserved.
In contrast to other forested areas, the northern Kellerwald Forest is characterized by its unusually high percentage of older broad-leafed trees.
Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Preserve
The visitor is greeted by a unique landscape inside the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Preserve, designed by nature and man alike. Deep quiet beech forests are crossed by narrow creeks, leading into cultivated scenery of meadows full of blossoming flowers and hedges.
Lake Diemel Nature Preserve
It is the unspoiled nature, the chirping of birds, the gurgling of the small rivers, Diemel and Aar and the crystal-clear waters of Lake Diemel which characterize the beauty and recreational value of the Lake Diemel Nature Preserve. The nature preserve is located in the utmost north western corner of Hesse.
