Burgwald Region
Burgwald Forest, with20,000 hectare, represents one of the largest forest areas in Hesse. For vacationers, Burgwald Forest with altitudes between 250 and 400 m represents a true hiking paradise, where nature starts as soon as you step outside the front door. The villages’ pleasant appearance invites relaxation and recuperation. Numerous clubs characterize cultural life which is steeply anchored in tradition in these villages.
