Bad Wildungen
Bad Wildungen is well known as a traditional, yet modern spa. Bad Wildungen proudly points to “Europe’s largest spa parkway” and to more than 20 medicinal springs. The town, almost 1200 years old, offers a picturesque image with plenty of half-timbered houses, and a gothic church right at its heart.
Edertal
The community of Edertal encompasses an area of 12,000 hectare, with 5,000 hectare taken up by extensive forests, and 1,200 hectare by water.
Lichtenfels
The town of Lichtenfels is located off the major roads. The landscape – lovingly referred to as “Waldeck Switzerland“– is idyllic and quiescent.
Frankenau
The town of Frankenau with its communities of Allendorf, Altenlotheim, Dainrode, Ellershausen, and Louisendorf is located primarily on a high plateau at the southern edge of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park. The main town is a certified spa.
