The Waldecker Land offers you fantastic settings for perfect recreation and fun. The water-skiing facility at Twistesee near the former principality’s capital of Bad Arolsen attracts beginners as well as professionals during the summer. However, the Edersee offers water skiers a separate water skiing area as well!

The Waterski Center Twistesee
Beginners and advanced skiers may use the quiet and environmentally friendly rope system running on an 800 m long course for a low price. Water skis and life jackets are provided free of charge.

The Water Sport Center ‘Sun & Fun’
Water sports and pure fun on one of the most beautiful and cleanest lakes in Germany directly at the dam:
- Rental of electric boats and electric yachts for up to 8 persons (no license necessary)
- Rental of dinghies, comfortable sailing yachts with engines up to a length of 8.50 m
- Sailing school: trial courses, basic courses, training for inland sports boats, sailing & motor
- Water skiing school: beginners and advanced, ski boat ‘Ski Nautique’ with 350 hp
