The ‘WildtierPark Edersee’ (Wildlife Park)
Experience domestic wildlife close up and bird of prey flight demonstrations in an unforgettable environment. The 80-hectare ‘WildtierPark’ is a facility of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
Animal species such as wolf, lynx and bison live in large enclosures at the ‘WildtierPark Edersee’, while deer, fallow deer and mouflons roam completely free.
Also, the otters as well as the flight demonstrations of the ‘Greifenwarte’ (Bird of Prey Observatory) are not to be missed. An adventure playground, pony rides and a petting zoo are a delight for the youngest visitors.
The ‘Greifenwarte’ is located at a beautiful vantage point in the park. Flight demonstrations with the Edersee and Schloss Waldeck in the background are a regular feature. Golden eagles, griffon vultures, eagle owls and falcons are part of the flight and feeding demonstrations.
Flight demonstrations at the ‘Greifenwarte’:
March 1st – November 15th: 11 a.m. & 3 p.m. (every day, except Mondays). During public holidays, flights demonstrations also take place on Mondays.
