The Eder Cycle Handcar
How about riding a cycle handcar along the ‘Affolderner See’ (Lake Affoldern) on the decommissioned railway line between Affoldern and Hemfurth? A cycle handcar has seating for 4 adults or – depending on the size of the children – 2 adults and 3 children.
There are 4 cycle handcars available, so groups of up to 16 people are able to ride at the same time. Larger groups could be divided: while one group is out riding, a parallel activity may be found for the other.
A ride (round trip) takes approx. 35 minutes. The price per cycle handcar is 15 Euros.
Opening Times
April to October: 11 am – 6 pm
Closed on Mondays – except on public holidays
Open daily during the Hessian school holiday periods; otherwise open on weekends and according to demand.
If several vehicles are required, a reservation is recommended.
