The Kellerwald-Edersee National Park is Hesse’s only national park and at the same time part of the UNESCO World Heritage site ‘Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians and the Ancient Beech Forests of Germany’.
A ‘new wilderness’ is growing in the heart of Germany. About 5,700 hectares without any settlement or roads – but with 51 mountains and more than 500 water springs.
